In brief
The stage starts downhill along the lago Soprano, here large migratory birds, such as herons do stop during their journey from Africa to Northern Europe. Then it goes further South to get to lick the Gallo River. It continues with the ascent of the hill where is located the village of Montedoro (riding, climb short enough) to immerse ourselves in a landscape that echoes of human adventure, of courage and of exploitation, of quick riches and crisis, the world of the sulphur mines. Incredible and fascinating visit the interesting Museum of Solfare, inside the caves tour of the mines Of sulphur. Still visible and in perfect condition the futuristic Gill ovens. From the underground to the stars with a visit to the Planetarium and Observatory Southern Italy's largest. Shooting the way to return back home after enjoying some of the local culinary delights. The tour ends with a visit to the home of the writer Andrea Cammilleri.

Stage 1:
Repaired Lake from the town of Serradifalco, Soprano is posted in the Group of seven nature reserves of Caltanissetta province. Has a remarkable landscape value: it looks like a gem set in an arid and barren area upon which stands Serradifalco. The Lake, also known as Cuba, for scenarios with affinity Caribbean landscapes, is a Karst cavity produced by the action of water on limestone, filled by water from springs and from the rain.

Stage 2: Camilleri's former home - Serradifalco (CL)
During the American landing on the southern coast of the island, Camilleri and his family took refuge in Serradifalco to escape the bombing of Porto Empedocle. It was there, Camilleri recounts, that he passed the recently bombed Fascist school and discovered his passion for literature by reading all the books salvaged from the rubble of the Serradifalco municipal school. Camilleri's former home, now a museum, can be visited by reservation only.

Stage 3: Museum of Zolfara - Montedoro (CL)
In the small town of Mantedoro, mount Ottavio, is the Museum of the sulfur mine, designed to enhance and protect the Mineralogical heritage of the country.The Museum contains a permanent exhibition of pictures, reconstructions, minerals and tools related to the mining of sulphur.

Stage 4: Observatory and Planetarium - Montedoro (CL)
The astronomical observatory of Montedoro is the structure that houses the telescope, open to the public, Southern Italy's largest. It has a decisive role for the popular science of Sicily. You can carry out observations through a telescope at night, it will be like opening a window on the universe. Through the Planetarium, instead you will be able to view the sky through a realistic reproduction of it.
